In this digital artifact, I will first delve into the player experience of cross-platform games. I’ll discuss the evolution and future of cross-platform gaming, and what different experiences players will have in the future. I believe that my hypothesis is consistent with what I think, that there is competition among platforms, so the experience is not the same, at least not very different. So cross-platform games are not “fair" for different players. Hopefully I’ll find more answers as I study this area.
The biggest advantage of cross-platform networking is to expand the user base, while the technical risk is the potential imbalance between platforms, such as keyboard and mouse VS gamepad. But by far the biggest obstacle to cross-platform integration is the business aspect: integrating players across platforms means that previously dominant platforms have to “share" their player skills and “take care of" those with fewer players.
We enjoy the variety of different gaming devices, but sometimes a more uniform service can also help. We believe that cross-platform related mechanics will continue to evolve, change, and grow with the game industry.

Hi, I think it’s a little bit unclear as to why it’s unfair for players. Don’t gamers play the game on the same platforms? Like they can’t connect PS4 to a PC right? How come this is unfair?

Yes, skill gaps between different platforms are a big problem that affects the gamer experience so some game companies will make a new version of the game to let gamers have a better experience like LOL. The Mobile version of LOL is much easy to play compared to the PC version. So find some examples to talk about the pros and cons of cross-platform games.
Also, I think you should find a specific topic of cross-platform games related to the game industry rather than just talk about the pros and cons or some definition because the course is focused on the game industry. For example, like the economics or how did the mode of operation change by game companies in these 20 years. Find some surveys for your DA.
