Hi, I’m Besty. When I learned about this interview, I began to think about my future career direction. During this preparation process, I felt very confused, because I had not seriously considered this problem. I can say that I have a lot of work experience, so let me just tell you about my previous work experience. I have worked part-time as a waiter in Haidilao and Disney Hotel. I am also responsible for bank activity planning of Hong Kong consumer voucher in WeChat Pay HK. Finally, I worked as an assistant manager in China Life Insurance Company. I have been exposed to different industries, and this work experience may be very helpful for my future. I remember my father always encouraging me to try to work in different fields. He said I can learn different work experience and improve myself in this way.
I had a great time working at WeChat Pay HK. My business skills improved a lot, and I was recognized by my tutor. So, at first, I wanted to invite my mentor. And then I talked to my dad about it, and he gave me advice, and he talked a lot about work. That’s when I decided to change my mind. In addition to giving me a lot of life advice, my father also gave me a lot of work experience to share. The interviewee I invited was my father. He is the manager of a trading company and a plastic products factory. He oversees a staff of up to 1,200 and is well known locally. I believe I can learn a lot from him. Since it is a family business, I have been familiar with the operation of the company and the factory since childhood. He told me that the most important thing to manage a factory is to control the production quality, while managing a company requires standardized workplace rules and systematic work allocation. Established in Dongguan, the factory has won the trust and cooperation of many big companies (such as Starbucks, Nike, Adidas, Contigo) with its integrity and strict quality assurance. When I asked him why he kept the factory running for nearly 30 years? I think it is a piece of cake. If you want to make it in manufacturing, he insists, you must control quality. ‘Having a good product is very important, and you can’t forget that to close the deal,’ he said. No matter the factory or company, we should be honest and responsible to our customers. Another is the problem of managing staff. As a manager, you need to work through difficulties with your employees and see the production process in person. Word of mouth is very important to a factory. If you do, you’ll be more than halfway there.
I can say, as his daughter, I know he’s busy and he doesn’t have regular hours because he must work all the time. In fact, he was so tired that he didn’t get much rest (including weekends). So, persistence is also a power of life. Although I am not sure about my future career development, I enjoy working hard and seriously on the projects I am responsible for. To offer my father’s job, I also understand that work should be sincere and responsible, cannot avoid difficulties, do not slack off. Only good products, or good work attitude or performance can impress consumers and customers.
Finally, I want to say that I always want to be as successful as my father, even though there are many changes and unknowns ahead. Work can be tempered, so that’s why my father always let me try different industries. Learn to think in many ways, and you will learn different ways to solve problems. In a simple word that is life is learning, learning is life. That’s what I want to share.
